Band 8a Physical Health Lead Nurse (12 Months Secondment/Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave)

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to provide 12 months maternity cover for our Physical Health Lead Nurse role at Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of transforming services and improving outcomes for patients by supporting the development and delivery of our physical health care strategy.
You will work with Trust management teams across services, providing strong leadership and direction to enable them to implement strategies to address physical health care needs of people accessing mental health services and will support developing our staff to be competent and confident in providing appropriate physical healthcare. You will provide clinically sound, evidence based physical healthcare guidance and advice and will support us to shape physical health pathways and drive development of a culture which promotes good health with equal emphasis on the mental and physical wellbeing of our patients.
You will work autonomously, reporting to the Associate Director of Nursing, acting as an expert resource and a role model for evidence based physical healthcare practice.
You will be a Registered Nurse, with a passion for health promotion and addressing health inequalities.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to proactively challenge practice and drive the delivery of excellent standards. You must have experience of working with multidisciplinary teams, be able to deliver effective training and demonstrate your commitment to continual professional development.
