Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic mental health practitioner to join our multi disciplinary and multi agency, Sandwell CAMHS Single Point of Access team (SPA). The SPA team consists of a CAMHS SPA team lead, two CAMHS practitioners and two workers from partner agencies. This team is part of our wider Sandwell CAMHS team based at Lodge Road West Bromwich.
The successful candidate will have considerable community CAMHS experience and be able to confidently triage and manage referrals as they come into CAMHS. They will possess excellent assessment skills and have a good knowledge of risk factors and safeguarding. The post holder will be able to confidently talk on the phone and reassure professionals, young people and their families and be able to offer support and advice as required. The service is busy and exciting and the post holder will have to be able to prioritise tasks and respond to incoming referrals as appropriate.
The post will also involve completing initial assessments, either remotely or by face to face.
The service operates Monday to Friday 0900-1700.
