An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Inpatient Mental Health Service for Acute Services in Walsall based at our Dorothy Pattison Hospital site. We are looking to appoint a permanent Band 5 Occupational Therapist.
This post will be dealing with our adult patients.
The successful applicant will need to be an enthusiastic and committed individual and will be part of a wider team, including other Occupational Therapists and members of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within a newly created - Inpatients Therapy Hub.
The post holder will have responsibility for a caseload of clients including those with complex needs. Using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist interventions in addition to participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy Services.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate robust OT clinical skills and knowledge of working mental health settings.
Relevant Supervision and support will be given to the successful candidate.
We are an energetic and hardworking team, working with adults with mental health needs. The Walsall Inpatient Therapy Hub is a relatively new innovation across all hospital sites, within DWMH.
We aim to be a fully integrated Multi-Disciplinary Teams comprising of Nurses, Peer workers, Clinical Psychologists, Support Workers and other partners, both internal and external.
