Wellbeing Service – Penn Hospital

We are looking to recruit one Occupational Therapist to join the Wellbeing Service, a Secondary Mental Health Service in Wolverhampton. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will play a key role in the case management and assessment of clients in the mental health Wellbeing Team.

The Practitioner will help provide a range of occupation focused interventions to working age adults, with mental health problems ranging from mild to moderate. The Wellbeing Service consists of Wellbeing nurses, OTs, Psychologists, Psychological Therapists and S.T.R workers.

We are looking for a practitioner with an interest in developing their skills in therapeutically orientated clinical work and service development. The post-holders will develop and deliver packages of care based on the recovery model of mental health. They will provide a Case Management role as well as a duty worker for the Wellbeing Service. They will work within a supportive team and robust clinical and managerial supervision will be provided.

As an Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for using occupational therapy assessments to develop recovery focussed care for a caseload of service users under guidance from the Band 6 Occupational Therapist. The role will involve both group and individual work with service users.
